Independent, impartial representatives who prepare and supervise the running and pulling of tubular goods, onshore and offshore. They bring in-depth field knowledge across connection types, materials and environments, and every review is objective.

What you receive
Threads, casing and connections are thoroughly cleaned, visually inspected and evaluated for damage, including pitted, cut or mashed seals, galled threads, corrosion and coating integrity. Every defect we find is marked directly on the joint and noted on the inspection report.

What you receive
Every joint and accessory is cleaned, drifted and measured from the end of the box to the end of the pin, in feet and inches to the thousandth. Each length is recorded on our tally sheet and entered into our tally program, which takes off the manufacturer’s make-up loss for the connection. You get the actual length each joint adds to the string, and a running total that matches it as installed.

The late Albert Ed Hamilton, Sr. founded A.E. Consultants, LLC, now A.E. & Sons, LLC, in Houston in 1995, after 24 years with Halliburton Oil & Gas. His goal was to lead the tubing inspection industry by giving the oil and gas industry service that is efficient, effective and affordable.
As a minority-owned business in Houston, he met real obstacles. His sons and his community kept him going, and that family foundation is still how we work. It instills pride, quality and service in every contractor who carries our name.
He was a lifelong learner and built that habit into the company. We ask our team to work with drive and to make sound decisions within their scope of authority. The standard hasn’t changed: do the job right the first time.
His eldest son, Alton “Shawn” Sells, joined the company as Vice President in 1996, a year after it was founded, and has led it as President since 2017. Over 30 years in the oilfield trade, and nearly all of them building this one.

Over 30 years in the oilfield trade. Joined A.E. & Sons as Vice President in 1996 and has led the company as President since 2017. His career includes work with operators and manufacturers such as ExxonMobil, Noble Energy and VamPTS. Before the oilfield, he served as a US Army field medic.
